I shall remain open to the possibility.

When the sun shines I begin to loose track of time, I enter a place were I am, constantly open to the possibility that yes, good things do happen.

Below a poem by Robert Frost. Choose your path carefully.

The Road Not Taken.

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Rain In July.

We have had quite a lot of rain recently, the roses in my garden are now just a memory all the fragile remaining roses were victims of a particularly vicious downfall. We do not complain the rain keeps England green and after a spell of hot weather is very comforting. Below is a poem by Keats which I like.

To Solitude.

O solitude! If I must with thee dwell,
Let it not be among the jumbled heap
Of murky buildings; - climb with me the steep,
Nature's Observatory - whence the dell,
Its flowery slopes - its rivers crystal swell,
May seem a span: let me thy vigils keep
'Mongst boughs pavilioned; where the Deer's swift leap
Startles the wild Bee from the Fox-glove bell.
Ah! fain would I frequent such scenes with thee;
But the sweet converse of an innocent mind,
Whose words are images of thoughts refin'd,
Is my soul's pleasure; and it sure must be
Almost the highest bliss of human kind,
When to thy haunts two kindred spirits flee.

~ John Keats.

June.

The weather has been good through June and that certainly puts a new perspective on everything. I have been working in my garden and everything looks OK, in the right light it sometimes looks quite beautiful.

May.

After the worst winter for thirty years enduring months of grey skies, not helped by a volcano erupting in Iceland, we are now happy in England after a lovely weekend of sunshine.

Spring.

Today is the first day of spring. When everyone’s thoughts turn to visions of love and romance, or so the story goes. While driving through the countryside, not a lamb in sight and things still a little grey and devoid of colour. I am waiting patiently for a little colour in the landscape and sun and blue skies above to cheer me.

Inspiration.

Motivation is an external, temporary high that pushes you forward. Inspiration is a sustainable internal glow which pulls you forward. ~ Thomas Leonard.

January.

A cold and white beginning to January with blocked roads and cars unable to leave the drive, as a shortage of grit brought my part of the world to a halt. We turned up the fire and several duvet days protected us from the cold.
We thanked Sir Tim Berners-Lee for his invention and felt less alone as we surfed the net for interesting diversions. Then as the weather improved and became warmer the snow slowly disappeared to be replaced by grey days that required bright lights to prevent Britain from becoming really S A D.
With four days to go until 1st February, one can only look forward to spring and hope that perhaps the snow will pass by if it comes again this winter. With crossed fingers and duvets at the ready we try to stay cheerful and hope for a few bright blue skies.
