January.
A cold and white beginning to January with blocked roads and cars unable to leave the drive, as a shortage of grit brought my part of the world to a halt. We turned up the fire and several duvet days protected us from the cold.
We thanked Sir Tim Berners-Lee for his invention and felt less alone as we surfed the net for interesting diversions. Then as the weather improved and became warmer the snow slowly disappeared to be replaced by grey days that required bright lights to prevent Britain from becoming really S A D.
With four days to go until 1st February, one can only look forward to spring and hope that perhaps the snow will pass by if it comes again this winter. With crossed fingers and duvets at the ready we try to stay cheerful and hope for a few bright blue skies.

A New Year!
God Bless us all!
That is the one God, the true God, the God of love, the God who cares for everyone and does not discriminate. Look inside yourself you will probably find him there waiting quietly to guide you.

Poetry.
I shall gather myself into my self again,
I shall take my scattered selves and make them one.
I shall fuse them into a polished crystal ball
Where I can see the moon and the flashing sun.I Shall sit like a sibyl, hour after hour intent.
Watching the future come and the present go -
And the little shifting pictures of people rushing
In tiny self-importance to and fro.
